DIES- Training Course on Management of Internationalisation

Simultaneous to the growing demand for higher education, the program Dialogue on Innovative Higher Education Strategies (DIES) jointly coordinated by the DAAD and the HRK, fosters the competencies of academic staff and contributes to the enhancement of institutional management at universities in developing countries.

DIES training course is a program that offers modular, practice-oriented training opportunities for management-level professionals from universities in developing countries.
In DIES training courses, trainer teams with international experience support participants to implement practical change at their home universities. The aim of the program is to make participants acquire important skills in various areas of university management and implement individual reform projects as part of the multi-component course.

On 8-12 April 2019, the first workshop of DIES Training Course in Indonesia was held at Universitas Indonesia. The topic of the workshop was management of Internationalisation. The international office of Unpar pursues the grant of this program and was able to organize the workshop along with Liebniz University and five other universities in Indonesia.

There were three main topics that were discussed in the workshop, which are project management, intercultural communication, and Internationalization at home. In total, there were 18 universities in all over Indonesia that were participating in this workshop. The second DIES training course will be held at Ahmad Dahlan university.
