OPEN FOR ALL UNPAR STUDENTS
The National University of Singapore Students’ Union (NUSSU) Global Relations Unit (GRU) kindly invites you to sign up and join the third iteration of the NUS Global Citizen Conference (NGCC). NGCC 2019 is the flagship international conference of NUS which sees undergraduate students from around the world come together to engage in critical discussions about topics that are of global concern. This year’s conference theme is Equality and Justice, and the sub-topics are Consumer and Environment, Food Security and Hunger, Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery & Gender Inequality in the Workplace.
In this conference, you will be allocated to one topic according to your preference and interact with NGOs before going on their topic-related tour to get a ground sensing of the topic of concern. Over the duration of the conference, participants will work together in discussion sessions and create a presentation about their findings and their proposed solutions for implementation on the final day.
All in all, this conference offers a great platform for students to establish networks with officers from notable NGOs and the various NUS offices.
The early bird rate for international students of SGD$190 is currently ongoing. This fee covers the accommodation throughout the conference, as well as meals (students will go out to enjoy local dishes on their own expenses on certain days) and conference material. Airport transfer will also be available for students arriving in Singapore on 23rd June 2019.
